Study visit within the Danube4SEecosystem Project in Maribor, Slovenia
Between May 20–21, 2025, the second study visit of the Danube4SEecosystem project took place in Maribor, Slovenia. The event was organized by the University of Maribor, a project partner. This two-day event aimed to share best practices for developing the social economy ecosystem in the Danube region, where participants had the opportunity to attend seminars, interactive discussions, and study visits to three leading social enterprises and initiatives in the region:
- "Korenika" Social Farm: An eco-social farm that produces local products and offers holiday camps and excursions. As a social enterprise, Korenika provides training and protected jobs for people with disabilities.
- "Kreator Lab" - CITILAB, Institute for the Development of Creative Technologies Maribor: A creative space open to the public, dedicated to informal education in digital skills, intergenerational connection, and collaboration among creators. It supports startups and offers hands-on workshops for children, youth, and adults, including 3D modeling, 3D printing, woodworking, and prototyping.
- "Cooperative Dobrina" - Cooperative for the Development of Sustainable Local Supply, Maribor: A social and agricultural initiative focused on developing a sustainable local supply of seasonal food.
