Early warning for epidemics
The competition aims to develop a prototype for early warning, scalable, reliable and cost-effective, using spatial data to predict and monitor vector-borne diseases, such as malaria, ebola, zika, yellow fever, typhoid, etc. The prototype should include climate data and weather data, vector modeling, geo-spatial location information on outbreaks and vector-borne disease behavior. Data must be interoperable with public health data and other socio-economic data. The prototype must be demonstrated locally, taking into account any social factor relevant to the chosen geographical area.
